Kagyu Same Ling Tibetan Buddhist Monastery and centre for world peace and health is located in the beautiful rolling hills of southern Scotland.

You are welcome to participate in the meditations led by the monks in the temple and we will also invite the group to come together for group meditation towards the end of the day (arrangements permitting).

To show respect for ourselves and others and to protect Samye Ling as a sacred space, Abbot Choje Lama Yeshe Losal 

Rinpoche requests all who visit follow these rules:

3. To speak the truth and refrain from lying.

4. To embrace health and refrain from intoxicants.

Please note: The Tibetan tea rooms serve a selection of delicious snacks and beverages only. We recommend you bring your own picnic lunch and food for the day as there are no shops located close by. Also please be aware that phone signal is very limited in the area.

Early booking is highly recommended due to limited availability.

The bus will depart promptly at 8am from The Old Brewery, Castle Eden, TS27 4SU and return at approximately 6pm.
